Alex Besikian, well-known as a visual artist, is back as Lex (de Kalhex), the instrumental hip-hop producer, and MC with a new EP called 'Tokyo Candy Box.' Through five tracks, the French artist from Paris echoes the eponymous books of Tokyo’s photographs by Koji Onaka, which reflect the transformations of the architecture between 1999 and 2001, with samples taken from his various trips of the last 10 years to Japan. Without wanting to fall into the exoticism fantasy of Japan, it’s more about translating the sensations, perceptions, and glimpses of memories of the elusive city.
